Finding a Dress

This past week I've been wrapped up in trying to find a dress. Who thought dress shopping would be this hard? It's a little less then 6 months until my wedding day which leaves me about zero time to keep looking. This is totally my fault for not looking sooner but the truth is I don't enjoy shopping for a dress. It's so hard to look at dresses in magazines or even in the store because they all look completely different once they are on. I had a dress picked out for almost a month now that I was sure was ' the dress ' I loved all the pictures I saw of it so I made an appointment to go try it on and turns outs it doesn't look the same on me. So now here I am only a few months from ' the big day ' and I have no clue what I want. I guess I shouldn't say I have no clue what I want, I know what I want it just seems to be impossible to find. You know when you have an I idea or a certain image in your head of what you what things to look like? It almost makes it hard because you're looking for something so specific. I'm really starting to feel the pressure, I can't believe how quickly everything is coming. They say you need time for your dress to come in then 8 weeks for alteration. Have any of you cut it super close trying to find a dress? If so how close? Well the hunt continues, wish me luck.

Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a great weekend! I did I got an iPhone!!! Finally I have an up to date phone :)

I've never shopped for a wedding dress, so I can't offer any advice, but I can wish you luck. I had no idea you needed to order a dress so early. I hope you find your dream dress soon!

I've never bought a wedding dress but I did buy several prom dresses and my best advice is to try on everything. Even things you think you won't like, you would be amazed how things can change when they are on your body. I know you will find the perfect dress, don't give up hope! Good luck girl and try to enjoy the shopping, it is supposed to be fun! :)

good luck with the hunt! I know whenever I'm looking for something it's always hard to find exactly what I want so maybe if you relax your search a little then you'll stumble across it all of a sudden when you least expect it?

I had ordered a custom wedding dress off of Etsy. I was really excited about it but then excuses started coming up as to why it hadn't been sent out. One of the excuses was that it was sent but returned to her. It ended up coming down to one week before my wedding, no dress and I was extremely stressed so I ordered a dress from J. Crew. It came and fit perfectly (LUCKY!) and then the DAY BEFORE my custom dress came. I stuck with the J. Crew dress ;)

Best of luck and I hope your hunt goes smoothly! Oh and new follower from the blog hop! Great blog!!

I got my dress in February for my wedding in June. I went in no pressure, 'just trying them on' and found an amazing dress! Don't sweat it, it will all work out! And if not I have one you can wear. ;)
