It starts in my shoulders then moves to my neck, then the front of the shoulders, down into my bicep and into my forearms. It makes it had for me to work or even get dressed, trying to sleep is by far the worst though. I try and sleep on my back with my arms at my side and lately I try to sleep more up right then laying down. I usually wake up around 4am because my arms are aching so bad I can't sleep. It's so unbelievably frustrating when all you want to do is sleep but you can't, it makes me want to scream sometimes. I've been for massages, chiropractor, I have Epsom salt baths everyday and ice it at night and it's still so bad.
I do however, think we are finally getting to the root of the problem. It all seems to be coming from my neck, those little tiny muscle at the base of my skull (which also explains the headaches I've been having) and the little ones on either side. The chiropractor gave me stretches to do a few times a day and that combined with a little more treatment should help relieve it over time. I'm thinking now would probably be a good time to get back into yoga as well.
Sorry to be a downer on such a beautiful Saturday. I really needed to get out my frustration and start thinking positive, have faith that this will go away with a little work and some time. I just want to be able to sleep in peace again.
