Reese & Waylon

We have been getting quite a bit of snow here lately (finally) and these two absolutely love playing in it. Reese, who won't go outside when it's raining, never even wants to come inside now. I love when their little faces get covered in snow like they have a snow bread.

These photo are all taken with our new 50mm lens which takes pretty awesome pictures but I am missing our old lens. This one has no zoom and you have to focus it yourself, which make it very had to take pictures of moving things, like dogs. When you do get a good shot though it is great and crystal clear, I just need a lot more practice.

How was your Christmas? Mine was very busy but very nice. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm heading out to go snowboarding for the first time this season :)

DIY Cat Urine Odour Remover

I have the most amazing thing to share with you guys. Ok so maybe not that amazing to most of you, but to those who have cats and especially those who have cats that have ever peed on anything this is the best thing you'll ever read.

My cousin and her cat Hazel have living here for a few months now and all of a sudden Hazel has decided that every now and then she's going to pee on my couch. For those of you that have cats you know that the small of cat pee is the hardest odor to remove from anything. I tried everything to get rid of the smell, using the little green machine, spraying it with cleaner, febreze, I even washed all the covers to the cushions in the washing machine and still you could smell it. So I started looking up home remedies online and reading forums from others with the same problem and I found this. This amazing miracle working solution. I sprayed this on the couch and once it dried the smell was totally gone! Gone! and this is all it is.

16oz Hydrogen Peroxide

1 Teaspoon Dish Soap

1 Tablespoon Baking Soda

Mix together and soak area, using a spray bottle works best. 

And it's gone, just like that.

Today I woke up not feeling very well at all and I have a long day ahead me. I'm trying to stay positive and not let this sickly feeling get the best of me. I find the more I dwell on the fact that I'm not feeling good the worse I seem to feel. That's why this quote seemed perfect for today. Not that I can think my illness away completely but I can make it bearable but not letting it consume me. That and lots of tea.

12 Days Till Christmas

The count down is on! There's only 12 days left till Christmas. That's less then two weeks people!!! Where did all the time go? I just started my Christmas shopping yesterday :s I am almost done though :) I like Christmas shopping and I didn't get to really enjoy it this year. I've been so busy and have also been working like crazy. I'm starting to slow down to enjoy the season now before it's gone. We have a Christmas dinner/party with friends this Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it.

Update on Life Lately

I can't believe it's been a whole week already since my last post. It's been pretty crazy around here this past week. Here's a little updated on my life lately.

My bridesmaids through me a surprise shower on Sunday. It was my very first surprise party and boy was it a surprise. It's strange walking into a party you had no clue about. It was so much fun, they did an amazing job. I have the best friends :)

On Thursday my fiance and I got "legally" married. It was just very small because our actually wedding will be in the Dominican in January. We chose to get married here first so that we don't have to change everything over when we get back, it's a lot easier this way.

So that's what has been happening around here. I think most of our wedding prep is now done and I can finally start Christmas shopping!! Yay!!!

Christmas Wish List

This week is extremely hectic for me. I'm going to take a few days off from blogging so I can get some things done on top of working everyday. My fiance and I are doing the legal part of our marriage on Thursday evening. I excited and nervous, I'll let you all know how it goes.

Ornament Swap

Early in November I signed up for an ornament swap. I LOVE christmas ornament and I thought, how fun would it be to get one that's a total surprise in the mail. Well today is the day we show off all of the lovely ornaments we receive from each other. Here is mine!

Is this not the cutest!? My swap partner was Christina . Well I guess I shouldn't say partner as we didn't swap with each other, we all had different people. She did a great job picking something that was "me" I really love this little guy.
